I found myself caught—stuck, really—trying to revise the fourth book in my first series of books, a fantasy series called Braided Dimensions as I moved onto writing a futuristic or sci fi series. It became a bit of a misery as it kept hanging over me. I did at last move Pasts Undone to completion and it comes out in December! But it took several years.
In comparison, I’m experiencing something very different now. Having completed Missing Moon, Book 3 of my Lost Xentu series, I’ve started Book 4. I’m revising Book 3 at about the same rate as writing Book 4, which puts me at about 45 pages into revising Book 3, and about page 36 of Book 4, Xentu Secrets.

One beauty of this is I’m able to improve the complexity of the concepts in both novels as I move through both at once. Another beauty is there’s no difficulty in going back and forth. Rather than shifting my focus from the future to medieval past, it’s all of one cloth. The future world I’ve built and those who dwell in it.
.I pushed the publishing date of Book 3 back to February 2025 so I wouldn’t feel rushed and it’s paying off. I’m enjoying this stage. Hopefully I’ll continue to!
