Yanda’s adventure intensifies as she sets out to find her daughter in unknown space where no human or humanoid should be able to survive. With her are sea elves and woodland elves, her half elf son and the Mingal of the waterworld. The mission is waylaid as the allies on the Sarsefi learn their friend, an engineer who can walk through walls, is held captive on her home planet, tortured to find the secret of her powers. Peril lurks throughout the universe as Yanda and her friends find themselves on a strange cloud planet that few have seen, the dwelling place of the bird-like Jejods. Meanwhile, the Stones demand she find their missing sister moon. Will Yanda find her daughter in time to save her?
