Spaces

Baby seal

Someday we’ll move out of this small space

Into larger ones

Touch others, a privilege so undervalued

Someday we’ll see no empty spaces on store shelves

But will we remember the dolphin’s joy

Swimming in clean waters?

We’ll drive again to gatherings,

But I hope we won’t forget the breath of the trees

Sighing with relief for less carbons

Someday we’ll fill the classrooms and stand close in stores

Take transportation and open shared doors

But let’s don’t forget the respite we gave the earth

or future respites

she needs
